Your Food is Being Made in the Laboratory
The news has come out these past weeks that
recent rulings by the United States Department of Agriculture now allow;
-the planting of genetically modified alfalfa without any restrictions on where or how much is planted
-the planting of genetically modified sugar beets without first completing the environmental assessment ordered by the court
-the planting of corn genetically engineered to be converted to ethanol more easily
The cover article in this month's issue of Common Ground magazine is about the recent approval of genetically modified alfalfa by the USDA.

The majority of food companies in Europe in 1999 committed to removing genetically modified ingredients from
their products because the people demanded no genetic engineering in their food!
