Nation's first organic farming and gardening apprenticeship program launched
California’s Division of Apprenticeship Standards, College of Marin, and Fresh Run Farm have partnered to create the first apprenticeship program to provide young people with a clear and legitimate path to entering the organic farming industry. The program offers valuable training to future farmers. They learn about sustainable local food systems, landscape ecology, composting and fertility management and even the business side of farming.
